Simultaneous Switching, No Power Required with M9455 Dual Channel Cat5e A/B Switch

25 Mar 2009 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) announces the new Model 9455 dual channel RJ45 A/B Switch. Both channels switch to A or B simultaneously via one knob on the front of the unit. No external power required. Each of the two channels reroutes data from its Common port to its A or B port, depending on switch position. This high quality sealed network switch with self wiping contacts is rated for 10/100/1000 networks (Up to Cat 5e) and is transparent to data format. M9455's rugged all aluminum case provides EMI/RFI shielding and its slim, rackmount enclosure efficiently uses panel space. This convenient switch eliminates the need to plug and unplug cables.

This LC Duplex, Multimode, Fiber Optic Switch allows the user to either connect or disconnect each input or output fiber optic cable to/from its respective input/output fiber optic cable. This Online/Offline switch offers individual switching control for all 6 channels, utilizing mirror technology with a wavelength of 1300nm. All channels are switched individually and may be controlled either via front panel pushbuttons or remotely using an Ethernet 10-Base-T connection and Telnet commands. Automatic Equipment to Drill Larger Holes

5 Mar 2009 — These tools introduced by Autodrill Co., come with a 1/2" shank, making them suitable for use in many common drilling machines. For occasional use these tools will work if sufficient thrust and torque is available. For high volume uses, like automatic drilling, these shortcomings show. These shortcomings, such as tooling wandering, oversized holes, and long cycle times can be improved. A simple improvement is to specify "split point" drills when purchased. The more common variety of S&D drills can be reground to a split point by use of a narrow grinding wheel and some experience.

28 Jan 2009 — Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) has just announced the Model 4124 DB9 A/B Automatic Fallback Switch with Contact Control Remote Port. This unique network switch includes special mounting, with steel pass-through bolts through the bottom of its desktop enclosure, making this A/B switch convenient for on-board ship use. This DB9 switch allows the sharing of a single device connected to the Common port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports, accepting Contact Closure commands to control switch position, lockout local front panel pushbutton and obtain switch status remotely. This switch does it all, including Automatic Fallback mode based on loss of data on port A. If activity is lost on port A, it will automatically switch to port B and maintain its position on port B until data is no longer detected, at which time the unit will switch back to port A. If neither port A or B have data activity, the unit will stay in the A position and continue to monitor data. Automatic Fallback Mode can also be overridden and unit can operate simply as an A/B switch.

To fill a requirement for a ton of manual A/B switching in a small area, the Model 9741 High-Density A/B Switch System was designed. This system fits 40 AB manual switch modules in a compact rack 19" W x 8.75" H x 13 D. Model 8050 is a reliable CAT5 compliant AB desktop switch. This switch incorporates a high quality switch with self wiping contacts. The switching mechanism is a sealed precious metal contact switch. These 23 feed rollers, identified as the A 7M 5-UR and A 7T 5-UR Series, are dimensioned in inches and feature 60 durometer urethane rolling surfaces with ground outside diameters. An additional 23 metric feed rollers are identified as the A 7M 5MUR and A 7T 5MUR Series. They have high coefficients of friction, low compression set and can be installed on drive shafts via adhesive bonding, press fits on knurled shafts and conventional set screws. Wetted materials of 316 SS and fluorocarbon ensure great chemical compatibility with a wide range of process media. The open case style is perfect for panel mounting applications like pump skids. Field installable weatherproof enclosure is available in 316 SS for harsh environmental applications or in polycarbonate offering a low cost weatherproof switch. Superior 15A contact allows direct control of motors or pumps without the use of external relays, a true cost savings. Features include a convenient indicating scale for quick and easy field adjustment.
